The Investment Department serves as the primary division of CIC Corporate & Institutional Banking dedicated to the acquisition and long-term holding of financial instruments on its own account, enabling Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale to gain expertise in the key market products relevant to its clients and to itself, while adhering to the Group’s risk framework and objectives.
Our operations rely on a team of over 60 portfolio managers located in our trading rooms across France, London, New York and Singapore.
Our teams are structured into three specialized desks operating across all geographical areas, and each focusing on distinct market segments:
- The Fixed Income Desk is managing sovereign debt, interest rate markets and inflation-linked products
- The Equities Desk is focused on hybrid and convertible bonds, equity instruments and volatility products
- The Credit Desk acquires and manages corporate and financial debt, as well as securitizations
Beyond portfolio management, the Investment Department also provides its expertise to various entities within the Group and oversees liquidity across different branches of CIC CIB (Treasury CIC CIB). Furthermore, our teams offer investment advisory services to Cigogne Management, the alternative asset management company of Groupe La Française.
